Recruitment & Retention Incentives

Providence Care is offering highly attractive recruitment incentives to successful permanent full-time and permanent part-time Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), Registered Nurses (RN) and Personal Support Workers (PSW).

 

Signing Bonus (Float Pool)

An incentive for net new external Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Float Pool vacant positions with a 2-year commitment to remain in the Float Pool department. Full-time RPNs hired under this incentive will receive a $10,000 signing bonus with 50% being provided on the first day of employment, after one year of service receive another 25% and after completing two years of service the remaining 25%. Part-time RPNs will receive a $5,000 signing bonus with 50% being provided on the first day of employment, after one year of service receive another 25% and after completing two years of service the remaining 25%.

This incentive does not apply to staff who have been employed at Providence Care within the past 12 months.

An incentive for net new external Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Providence Manor vacant positions with a 2-year commitment to remain in Providence Manor. Full-time RPNs hired under this incentive will receive a $10,000 signing bonus with 50% being provided on the first day of employment, after one year of service receive another 25% and after completing two years of service the remaining 25%. Part-time RPNs will receive a $5,000 signing bonus with 50% being provided on the first day of employment, after one year of service receive another 25% and after completing two years of service the remaining 25%.

PSW Return of Service

  • Providence Manor is supporting a government incentive for Personal Support Workers (PSW) hires filling vacant positions at Providence Manor.
  • PSWs hired under this incentive will receive $10,000 in exchange for a 1 year commitment and receive $5,000 in exchange for a 6 month commitment at Providence Manor.

Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN)

  • Provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible nurses in exchange for a two-year commitment.
  • This incentive qualifies for Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work in the hospitals and long-term care (LTC) homes.
  • Eligibility criteria available at Health Force Ontario CCPN Incentive
