The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Attendant Care Outreach Program & Adult Day Programs.  This position is responsible for preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining departmental record-keeping systems and performing general office and receptionist duties. The Administrative Assistant carries out the duties in alignment to Providence Care’s Mission, Vision and Values. 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Two-year Office Administration/Business Diploma; equivalent education and experience may be considered 
  • Minimum two years’ experience performing similar duties in an office environment 
  • Minimum one-year of accounts receivable experience preferred 
  • Demonstrated intermediate computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Access)  
  • Demonstrated typing speed skill of minimum 45 words per minute 

 

Position Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Performs regular clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, faxing, shredding, processing mail 
  • Establishes and maintains systems for data collection, management and month end  
  • Provides payroll information for the Attendant Care Outreach Program & Adult Day Program in collaboration with the Providence Care Payroll department and the Office Coordinator, Personal Support & Adult Day Programs 
  • Provides administrative support to meetings as assigned 
  • Maintains Adult Day Program petty cash in coordination with the Office Coordinator, Personal Support and Adult Day Programs
