Working to full scope of practice, the Psychometrist is responsible for the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical Forensic Psychologist. In addition, the Psychometrist will take note of behavioral observations during the course of the administration that may be used by the Psychologist to aid in test interpretation.  The Psychometrist is responsible for scheduling clients/patients for testing and procuring office and testing supplies, in conjunction with the Psychologist.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor degree in Psychology ; Master’s degree preferred
• Clinical experience in working with a varied group of clients/patients including educational clinical experience and or research in a clinical setting

Position Responsibilities:

• Works under the clinical supervision of and in collaboration with the staff Psychologist to provide assessment services, including chart review, administration of various standardized psychological tests, recording of responses and scoring of tests using appropriate norms, and contributing to report writing
• Provides a written summary of the client's/patient's behaviour during testing
• Ensures timeliness, accuracy, availability and security of information
• Understands, adheres to and models standards as defined  by  Providence Care and the College of Psychologists of Ontario
• Participates in inter-professional team meetings , providing professional information
• Participates in research projects conducted in the hospital, as requested
